Mix-ups Kyuujitsu (any day off) vs shukujitsu (public holiday).

nichiyou

Sunday (short form)

Any day name can drop -bi in speech: getsuyou, kayou, suiyou, mokuyou, kin'you, doyou.

Donichi means Saturday and Sunday together.

casual

nichiyou nara aiteru yo.

Sunday works for me.

日曜なら空いてるよ。

polite

nichiyou nara aite imasu.

I'm free on Sunday.
