Mix-ups Dakara koso (exactly why) vs dakara tte (just because ... doesn't mean).
somosomo
in the first place; to begin with
Goes back to the root of a problem, often to question or blame.
Often sounds like a challenge; in calm talk it just means 'originally' (somosomo no genin, the root cause).
somosomo, nande koko ni iru no?
Why are you even here in the first place?
そもそも、なんでここにいるの?

tte koto wa
so that means
Draws a conclusion from what the other person just said, often to check it.
The polite form is to iu koto wa. Ending a sentence with ... tte koto? checks: 'You mean ...?'

So that means he's coming too.

dakara koso
that's exactly why

Koso stresses 'that very one': kochira koso (no, I should be thanking you).
muzukashii yo. dakara koso yaritai n da.
It's hard. That's exactly why I want to do it.
