Numbers, weight, people or work going up by themselves.

Fuyasu is 'increase it' (you do it). Opposite: heru, go down.

Things building up you don't want (stress, dishes, work) or do want (money, points).

Tameru is 'save up, let pile up' (you do it): okane o tameru.

Lowering volume, price, temperature or your head.

Sagaru is 'go down' (by itself); opposite: ageru. Waiters ask 'osage shite yoroshii desu ka?' before clearing plates.
