Mix-ups Nattoku is accepting a reason, not just understanding it (wakaru).

Mostly 'nattoku dekinai' (I can't accept that) and 'nattoku shita' (Now it makes sense).
'Naruhodo, nattoku' means 'Ah, that explains it'.

I can't accept that explanation.
その説明じゃ納得できないよ。
sono setsumei de wa nattoku dekimasen.

judge, decide; judgment
For making a call on the facts: 'Jibun de handan shite' (Use your own judgment).
The noun is common too: 'ii handan' (a good call), 'handan ga muzukashii' (it's hard to say).
sore wa jibun de handan shite yo.
You'll have to decide that for yourself.

sore wa jibun de handan shite kudasai.
Please decide that for yourself.

misunderstanding; misunderstand
'Gokai da yo!' means 'You've got it wrong!'; 'Gokai shinaide' means 'Don't get the wrong idea'.
Also gokai suru (misunderstand) and gokai sareru (be misunderstood).

get confused; be in chaos
For a muddled head or a chaotic situation: 'Atama ga konran shiteru' (My head's spinning).
Also public chaos, as with traffic or markets. For a light 'I'm lost', wakaranaku natta is more everyday.
chotto matte, atama ga konran shiteru.
Hang on, my head's all mixed up.
ちょっと待って、頭が混乱してる。
chotto matte kudasai, atama ga konran shite imasu.
Hold on, I'm getting confused.
