Mix-ups Riyou suru is the formal 'use'; everyday talk uses tsukau.

Using trains, gyms, apps or cards; signs and staff say goriyou.
Tsukau is the everyday 'use'; riyou sounds like services and signs. Of a person, it means use or exploit them.

Casual; posting photos or videos online, or pay, prices or level going up.
As a suffix it means a rise: kyuuryou appu (pay rise), reberu appu. Opposite: daun.
