Mix-ups Kega is the injury, kizu the visible cut or mark.

Any physical injury, from a scraped knee to a bad accident.

The noun kega = an injury: kega wa nai? = anyone hurt? Kizu is the cut or wound itself.

Jiko ni au = be in an accident. Jiken is an incident, often a crime.

Kega is the injury itself; kizu is the cut or mark you can see. Kizutsuku = to get hurt, often feelings.
