sore demo
even so; still
Says something still holds despite what was just said.
Don't confuse with sore de (so, and then); the mo turns it into 'even so'.
takai yo. sore demo kau no?
It's expensive. You're still buying it?
高いよ。それでも買うの?

dakara tte
just because (that doesn't mean); even so
Pushes back: the reason given doesn't justify the conclusion.
The polite form is dakara to itte. Pattern: dakara tte ... wake ja nai (just because ... doesn't mean).
dakara tte, sonna ni okoranakute mo ii jan.
Even so, you don't need to get that angry.

sore ni shite mo
even so; still, (but) really
Accepts what was said, then comes back to how striking something is.
Often an exclamation that breaks into the conversation, like 'man, ...'; for a plain 'even so' use sore demo.
sore ni shite mo, kyou atsui ne.
Still, it's really hot today, huh.
それにしても、今日暑いね。

sono kawari
instead; in exchange; but then
Sets a condition or trade-off right after agreeing to something.
Also for a trade-off in facts: yasui. sono kawari, tooi (it's cheap, but then it's far). X no kawari ni = instead of X.
ii yo. sono kawari, ranchi ogotte ne.
Sure. But in exchange, you buy me lunch.
いいよ。その代わり、ランチおごってね。
